Research Interests

  • Software Engineering in Service Robotics
  • Distributed Robotic Applications and Systems
  • Robotic Middlewares and Frameworks
  • Dependable and robust Service Robots
  • Model Driven Software Development
  • Time dependent Algorithms
  • Managing and Balancing of Resources in a running Robotic System

I am working in the Collaborative Center for Applied Research on Service Robotics (ZAFH Servicerobotik) conducted by Prof. Dr. Christian Schlegel.

My Background

I am experienced in building complex software architectures for the domain of service robotics. I am convinced that such a system must be composed of reusable software components, which in turn rely on a stable component model with well defined communication semantics, implemented in a robotic framework like SmartSoft. This is a crucial step to master complexity in current and a lot more in future robotic applications, to satisfy industrial needs and to exploit powerful approaches like MDSD in robotics.
