The Institute of Organisation and Logistics (IBL) brings together teaching, research and consultancy, relating to the value added chain ‘procurement - production – distribution’. The focus ranges from strategic development and planning to implementation. The topics covered are procurement strategies and supply chain concepts, integrated production systems, calculating processing costs, factory planning, picking and packing, stock management systems, telematics, and RFID. In all the areas a special emphasis lies on the integration of IT-systems, processes and organisation, with the aim to optimise business processes.
