At one point students have to ask themselves what their aims
regarding their future career are. The introduction of Bachelor and Master
Degrees at German Universities did not make the decision for students
concerning their future career any easier. On the contrary, depending on
their qualifications and interests, the students have to make a decision
sooner or later. Is it sufficient to graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree, or
do they aspire to work in a management position that requires universal
competences in business or science? If the latter is the case, the
students have to think about continuing their studies, i.e. a Master’s
Degree, which might also allow them to apply for a PhD programme. |

The Graduate School is getting involved even before this personal
decision. The Graduate School provides comprehensive career advice and
guidance for Bachelor students and external applicants. In addition the
Graduate School offers the Master students different lectures in the area
of soft skills, languages, and networking with enterprises and our master
community. The Graduate School’s individual career advice and support aims
to sharpen the Master student’s personal profile and to make it easier for
them to successfully start their career after graduating. |

We are looking forward to receiving applications from foreign
students, both European and Non-European applicants. |
