The main focus of the Institute of Energy and Drive Technologies (IEA) lies on methods and technologies for a sustainable and responsible use of energy resources, for an increase in the use of renewable energy, and the rational use of energy. The institute can resort to a whole range of currently available energy production technologies and energy resources: the fuel cell, combined heat and power plants, geothermal energy, and photovoltaic and solar thermal systems. A special emphasis lies on the methodology of efficient energy data management.
