At the Institute of Applied Natural Science, the students registered
for any of the technical degrees, will be taught the principles of technical
physics and chemistry, and acquire structural skills in working
scientifically. In addition to the experimental demonstrations in the
lectures, the students will carry out their own experiments in the
laboratory, in order to gain a more practical understanding. Apart from the
departments of Technical Physics and Chemistry, which share IAN-PC, each
department has their own laboratory. |

Furthermore the members of the institute are involved in cooperation
projects with the industry and in applied research. The most important areas
of competence are: EMV - which stands for electromagnetic compatibility
(EMC) and EMVU - which stands for environmental aspects of EMC, the
measurement and simulation of electric and magnetic fields, the measurement
of temperature radiation and its interpretation, acoustics and environmental
measurement. |
