Learning objectives
Logistics is the term used to describe all of the activities related to the movement of materials from the time they’re manufactured to when they reach their ultimate consumer. Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to : - Describe the various logistic functions and the interrelationship between them. - Explain the relationship between inventory and production control. - Demonstrate knowledge of logistics technologies including inventory techniques, bar-coding systems, picking and delivery processes, and storage and sorting systems. - Explain how the industrial purchasing function operates in Supply Chains
