Medical Information Systems - Lecture

Learning objectives
At the end of this course the students will be able to analyse complex information systems for a medical environment, such as hospitals, medical practitioners, pharmaceutical industry, and health insurances. The students will be able to analyse the requirements for a given situation, e.g. a medium-sized hospital, and formulate appropriate user requirements (Pflichtenheft). Furthermore they will learn how to design complex information systems for a medical environment. This also includes the correct application of appropriate technologies (multi-tier systems, thin-clients, distributed systems).
