Distributed and Interacting Systems





Learning objectives
After the successful completion of this lecture the students will be able to analyse, plan and implement a distributed system. They will be familiar with the problems of distributed systems like replication, fault tolerance, security and consistency. They will be able to master the basic modules and algorithms for distributed computing e.g. logical time, distributed locking and update protocols, and they will be familiar with basic research papers about distributed systems.
