Learning objectives
Understanding and practical use of the cited contents. Use of fundamental design methods for the solution of control problems in practice. Capability for planning, programming and commissioning of automation systems for machines and installations with special regard to storage programmed steering.

Binary Functional Module: Connective modules, time modules, memory modules


Control Gate with Contacts: Terms, symbols, important versions of circuit diagram


Stored-Program Controller: Usage, build-up and function of SPC, program-structure an programming languages, fundamental functions, representation of numbers, loading-and transfer operations, timer functions, counter functions, compare operations, arithmetic operations, data modules, functions and function blocks


Connective Control and Run Off Control: Characteristics, build-up, control system function diagram, programming
