Essential in this occupational field is a thorough knowledge in a wide range of areas. You have to be confident in the application of information systems in industry, commerce and finance companies. You will have to stay constantly in touch with your “clients” in this area, and you need to be able to understand their language, concerns, and objectives. Furthermore a substantiated theoretical and practical knowledge of computers that exceeds the mere “application knowledge” by far is taken for granted. Not only should you be able to solve common problems with the help of familiar tools, but you should also be able to recognise further problems arising and solve them by developing new tools (computer components and programmes).

We expect you to show interest for both disciplines that are united in this Bachelor’s degree course. Previous knowledge from a job or training is not required; but it will definitely make the first steps easier.
