Co-operative degree course

Ulm University offers the innovative Bachelor’s degree course Health
Information Management in close co-operation with Neu-Ulm University. Both
partners focus on their particular strengths, that means Ulm University is
responsible for the medicine and computer science oriented courses,
whereas Neu-Ulm University takes care of the courses dealing with business
and health economics. For many years Ulm University has been gathering
experience in teaching and research with medicine as an area of
application for computer science, especially through the degree course
‘Documentation and Computer Science in Medicine’ and the study focus
‘Computer Science in Medicine’ in the Master degree course Information
Systems. Neu-Ulm University on the other hand contributes to the degree
course with the recently founded competency centre for Health Management.
Both universities are working closely together with health care centres,
software companies, and the pharmaceutical industry in the region. Neu-Ulm
University also maintains a very well developed international network
between health care centres, especially with partners in Africa. |

If you are studying Health Information Management you are a
registered student at Ulm University and Neu-Ulm University, and therefore
you have the possibility to take courses and access facilities at both
universities. |

The universities are only a few kilometres apart, and there is also
very good public transport between the two universities. |
