Bachelor's degree course Communications Engineering
Study contents

As for the courses industrial electronics and vehicle technology, the basic course covers the fundamentals of mathematics and physics as well as basic electro-technology including communication theory, digital technology and programming. After this a suitable change of course will be possible.

Initially the main course will consolidate knowledge in the general fields of electro- and information technologies such as semi-conductors, micro-electronics and microcomputer technology. This is followed by specialisation in the field of communication technology with the related digital modulation methods and related digital signal processing, using signal processors among other things. Hardware and software will be taken equally into consideration. For this the subjects microwave technology and software engineering are available. From this basis all aspects of current and future communication systems will be introduced in the later semesters.

With optional subjects of choice the student can strengthen his individual qualifications further. The practice orientated training continues using measurement equipment, computers and software of the most up-to-date state of the art technology. Report writing and presentation techniques will be treated to the same standard as in the other courses.
